How is Micro-Needling Automated?

Micro-needling with MicroPen®

Micro-needling with MicroPen® Before and After

Automated micro-needling (also known as collagen induction therapy or CIT) is a revolutionary tool that can aid in reduced presence of fine lines, acne scars and enhance the skin’s entire look. During your session, the Eclipse MicroPen® technician creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin. This encourages the production of collagen and elastin which helps your skin bounce or snap back into a more youthful condition. An additional benefit allows the creation of microchannels that allows penetration and absorption of topical serums, creams and gels. Slight micro-channels are created with automated micro-needling which assist with serums, creams, and gels to aid in the improvement of the skin. The Eclipse MicroPen® is the utmost state-of-the-art device on the market for medical-grade automated micro-needling and the providers at Beautologie are trained to get the optimal results.

What is the advantage?

Micro-needling can diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles plus provide younger-looking skin with hardly any sign of aging. Additionally, the Eclipse MicroPen® will correct the look of scars, hyper-pigmentation, hypo-pigmentation, stretch marks and even generate livelier skin!

Can all areas of the body be treated?

The Eclipse MicroPen® is authorized to be used on different portions of the body such as the face, neck, decollete, arms, hands, abdomen, back and legs.

What is the process for completing the procedure?

Your MicroPen® Technician will place a light layer of topical gel to the desired area of treatment then decide the suitable setting necessary for your skin’s one-of-a-kind needs. After, in a simple motion, the pen is lightly pressed against the skin while synchronously sliding in one direction until the full treatment area has been coated.

How does it feel?

Some patients describe the feeling is similar to light sandpaper being brushed along the skin. Although few areas are more delicate than others, the pace of the alternating MicroPen® tip decreases irritation while the hydrating gel used causes the treatment to be bearable.

What is the estimated length of the procedure?

Dependent on the size of the area and the number of areas treated the procedure can range anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes.

How long is the downtime?

Directly after the treatment, you will see an illuminated redness to the skin.

The total healing duration fluctuates on the Eclipse MicroPen®. It is dependent on the settings used and the total amount of overlapping passes performed with the MicroPen®. In most cases, redness occurs for only 2-4 days for most patients. Using the Beautologie Skin Care Line, or other superior skincare products, supplied by your skin care provider, will aid in speeding up the healing process.

When will my results be visible?

Patients will see an instantaneous radiance to their skin. Noticeable progress to the skin will continue over the course of a few days to weeks. Collagen production will continue up to 6 months after your treatment.

How many treatments are required?

At your consultation your provider and you will discuss your desires and what results you are looking for. Together you will decide on how many sessions your optimal results will require. Few patients only need a single treatment, once per year to accomplish their desired outcome. Though, it is suggested that most patients obtain a sequence of 2-3 treatments divded about 6-8 weeks apart. Patients with profound wrinkles, extreme photo-aging, acne scars or stretch marks, your skin care technician can suggest 6-8 treatments at 6-week periods.
